Nominator's project description
| Dr. Denis Grebenkov is internationally recognised as an expert in the field of stochastic processes. He has made important contributions to the theory of first-passage and narrow escape problems and their applications to biological phenomena. In his research, Dr. Grebenkov demonstrates his intuitive sense for physics combined with outstanding technical skills. During his research stay in Germany, Dr. Grebenkov will further develop the theoretical modelling of diffusive search processes relevant to biochemical reactions, especially in the biologically important limit of small concentrations |
